  When this restaurant first opened (or reopened?) we were most impressed. We frequented it weekly and sometimes several times a week. Although the ambience was bright and austere, the food was always very tasty and the manager very friendly. We felt it lacked a good wine list, however, and the manager welcomed our suggestions and recommendations to procure affordable yet decent wines for those who appreciated it. I noticed over many return visits that other motel guests found they had the same issue. Unfortunately nothing changed. Slowly the delicious food has declined to a state of hit and miss with smaller servings and huge variability in the dishes. Previously happy to accomodate, the staff now argue with me if I ask for a dish to be made extra hot or with chilli etc. Initially their platters were substantial enough for sharing, but our most recent dish was so parsimonious that we had to order more in order to share with our friends. The manager and his staff still refuse to learn how to use the well-equipped till with the end result being randomly adding up illegible notes at the end. They have on several occasion made mistakes, and obtaining tax receipt becomes near impossible. My main issue is now with delivery. I frequently use EatNow when in Perth and noticed, back when the restaurant opened, that they deliver. Knowing that the service costs the restaurant money, and knowing they were trying to boost the business, I called them direct instead. They were delighted to deliver our order, in addition to a lovely bottle of wine, to our home. I have subsequently received other deliveries from them in addition to frequenting the restaurant very regularly. Last week I tried to order delivery and after spending 12mins going through a lunch order and waiting on hold etc. to confirm the driver was there I was then told the kitchen was going home. I was told they could deliver at 5pm (it was 1.30pm). I tried again earlier this week for dinner, again reading out an entire order (in excess of $100), and was even given a delivery time before being called back 10 mins later to be told the driver wasn't there. This business is empty most nights and I would think can ill afford to alienate its regular customers. Tonight at appx 6pm I put through an order via Menu Log and just received a text saying it was rejected. No courtesy call or reason why. Deepak, you and your staff can do many things to improve your offerings and boost your business but you refuse to do so and your business will suffer, just like other businesses in this area when they choose to be complacent. Unfortunately you are not alone. Other local restaurants adopt the same attitude (which is that the customer is an imposition). It is a sad fate of WA country businesses - a quick trip to SA, VIC, etc and even the smallest country towns have bustling, vibrant, friendly pubs and restaurants. No doubt the response to that will be the same as the attitude "if you don't like it, go else where". It's a crying shame.
